Generating Secure Password in Lastpass

How to Generate Secure Password Using LastPass

Find and click on the LastPass extension in the top right corner of the Chrome browser. (Extension circled in the picture below)

Once you click on the extension icon you will want to scroll down and select "Generate Secure Password"

***If you are using the new version of the LastPass layout you want to click on "Generator" at the bottom tab.

Once in "Generate Secure Password" or "Generator" you will see the window where you can configure the password to your needs. You can:

• Select the character length of the password by typing the number in directly or using the provided slide bar
• Select the copy icon located next to the generated password to copy the password provided
• Select the refresh/generate another password icon located next to the copy icon
• Check any boxes or circles to include any of the configurations provided 

*Notice the provided secure meter feature that displays the strength of your generated password. Most secure passwords will fill all 4 bars of the meter.
