Talkdesk Phone is a simple low interface layout with essential functions like recent calls, voicemail, dial pads, and contacts. This document will go over the functions.
Recent Calls
The Recent Calls section shows you your past and missed calls.
When the TalkDesk window is minimized, this section will collapse and will reappear once the window is enlarged to a sufficient width.
Keypad & Contacts
When selecting Home, the Keypad and Contacts appear in the same space in Talkdesk.
You can select which one to view from the Keypad/Contacts selection icon located above the keypad.
Keypad: Is used to dial out or paste a copied number to dial out to in the Type number box, then click call.
Contacts: Used to search for users in the directory by name or number. Can Call directly by clicking on the phone icon to the right of the user contact profile on the list.
Settings
Selecting Settings in Talkdesk Phone opens the Settings window where you can click on edit and then done to adjust the settings below.
Do not disturb- Switch on or off to automatically forward incoming calls to voicemail.
Call Waiting- Enable or disable a call waiting line for incoming calls instead of sending them directly to voicemail.
Call Forward- Forward all incoming calls to another number/extension
Default Country Code- Do not change.
Calling out
On A Call
When you are on a call you will see the option layout above with the following selections;
Mute- Mute your sound
Keypad- Access the 10-digit number pad.
Hold-Place call on Hold until pressed again
Transfer- Transfer the call to another team member in the directory.
Add- Select to add/merge a new line
New- Select to start a new seperate call
